The Icansi Fashion Festival

Celebrating African arts and culture through our annual fashion event.

Promoting Bulawayo Arts and Culture

Our initiative aims to establish Bulawayo as a cultural epicenter in Southern Africa, showcasing the richness of our diverse arts and culture through innovative collaborative projects.

Cultural Hub

We strive to highlight Bulawayo's unique cultural offerings while creating opportunities for local artists and designers to thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment. Join us in this creative journey.

THE FIRST EDITION

The inaugural Icansi Fashion Fest, which took place at the Music Academy Bulawayo, was a vibrant celebration of fashion, food, and music. It is the brainchild of Noliwe Mhlope of "Nolie. b. Designs" and Penelope Lacha of ''PenelopeCreationz" and was meant to be a platform to promote young and upcoming artists. The event featured a runway show showcasing innovative fashion designs, stage performances by emerging artists, and participation from fashion models who traveled from outside Zimbabwe to join us. The response was positive, highlighting the potential of this festival to promote the arts and culture of Bulawayo on a larger scale.

THE SECOND EDITION

The second edition of the Icansi Fashion Festival was even bigger and more vibrant than the first edition. It was a platform to promote young and upcoming artists. The event was a vibrant celebration of fashion, food, and music. The goal is to foster cultural exchange, encourage artistic collaboration, and firmly establish Bulawayo as a premier destination for arts and culture.
